Kelly Osbourne Defends Taking Baby to Slipknot Gig Amidst Criticism

Kelly Osbourne has hit back at critics who questioned her decision to take her baby to a Slipknot concert, assuring fans that her son was wearing ear protection. The former reality TV star and musician shared a video of her son, Sidney, enjoying a Slipknot performance at Madison Square Garden with his father, Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson. The video shows a sweet backstage moment of the family dancing together.

"Baby Sidney watching his daddy perform at #MadisonSquareGarden," Osbourne captioned the post, "My heart is about to explode❤️‍🔥."

While many fans praised the adorable video, some voiced concerns about the loud music's potential impact on the young child. Comments like "No hate but why no ear protection??", and "Cover that child’s ears," sparked a defensive response from the mother-of-one.

"He has ear protection. You just can't see them," Osbourne clarified, putting the critics in their place.

Osbourne and Wilson, who began dating in 2022 after rekindling a connection from their first meeting at a music festival in 1999, welcomed their son Sidney in November 2022.

In a previous interview with E! News, Osbourne spoke candidly about her journey into motherhood, acknowledging the overwhelming yet rewarding experience. "I'm a mom now, I love it," she shared, "It's the best thing that has ever happened to me. It's scary as f— because you don't want to make a mistake."

The star also admitted that learning from mistakes is inevitable, even when parenting: "It's all these little tiny things and these mistakes that you ultimately make because you can't learn unless you make a mistake. It's just unfortunate that you have to do it with a baby."

Osbourne's response to the criticism highlights a common tension between parental instincts and well-meaning advice. Ultimately, the decision to expose a child to loud music, whether it be at a concert or another event, is a personal one, with parents weighing the potential risks against the opportunity for shared experiences.
