Pop star Katy Perry has revealed that her daughter, Daisy Dove, has taken to singing one of her more suggestive songs, leaving the "Roar" singer feeling a bit embarrassed.
Speaking on BBC's *The One Show
on Thursday, July 25, Perry shared that her 3½-year-old daughter, whom she shares with partner Orlando Bloom, has started belting out "Peacock", a song known for its clear innuendo.
"She actually just started singing 'Roar'," Perry revealed, "but on the flip side, she's also singing 'Peacock', and now I know what every parent went through in 2008. And I'm sorry!"
The "Woman's World" singer admitted to feeling a pang of parental guilt at Daisy's newfound musical repertoire, but also expressed a sense of humour about the situation.
Earlier this year, Daisy made her first public appearance at Perry's final Las Vegas residency show, "Play". During the performance of "Hot n Cold", the singer paused to give a shout out to her daughter, who was dressed in a Minnie Mouse costume.
"Daisy! I love you so much," Perry said, "You're my best friend, I'm so glad you're here."
Later in the show, Perry dedicated the performance to Daisy, her "incredible support system", Orlando Bloom, and all those who helped make "Play" the success it was.
"When I met her [Daisy], it was like all the love I was ever searching for finally showed up," Perry continued, "She made me whole, and she healed me, and she showed me how to play again. So this show is for everyone's inner child and for the hope that maybe if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, we would be free."
Perry's upcoming album, *143*, is set for release on September 20.
