Former glamour model Katie Price appears set to jet off to Turkey for another round of cosmetic surgery, despite facing a £760,000 bankruptcy hearing this week.
The 46-year-old hinted at the trip on Instagram, responding to a post by friend Lou Anderson, who is scheduled to undergo a tummy tuck in Turkey next week. Price commented, "Yes girl turkey here we go," confirming her own plans to travel to the country known for its affordable and readily available cosmetic surgery procedures.
This news comes as a surprise, given Price's looming court date for her second bankruptcy. Despite reports that the case is still scheduled for Tuesday morning, it seems the former model has other priorities.
A representative for Price has been contacted for comment by MailOnline, but a response is yet to be received.
Price was first declared bankrupt in 2019, and again in March 2024 after failing to pay a £761,994.05 tax bill. The financial woes led to her eviction from her infamous "Mucky Mansion" in May, and she has since moved into a more modest Tudor-style property.
Despite the pressure of her financial situation, Price maintains that her bankruptcy issues are "sorted." In a recent interview with Channel 5 News, she spoke about her struggles with mental health, including severe ADHD, which she believes has contributed to her previous struggles.
"I'm doing really, really good," Price said. "I've learned a lot about myself, a lot about mental health and obviously being diagnosed with the severe ADHD, learnt a lot about that, which I wish I knew years ago."
She described the challenges of living with ADHD, saying, "It becomes noise in your head, and then you just can't cope with it, you think there's no light at the end of the tunnel and then that caused depression, then a breakdown, suicidal, ended up at the Priory."
Price has also expressed openness about her past struggles with body image, admitting that she often feels unhappy with her appearance. She has undergone numerous cosmetic procedures over the years, including rhinoplasty, a silhouette facelift, veneers, lip fillers and Botox.
Earlier this month, Price revealed plans for further surgery following her 17th boob job. She admitted to struggling with body dysmorphia, a condition her mother believes contributes to her repeated cosmetic interventions.
"I don't ever look in the mirror and think I look good. I never have done. So, there's obviously an underlying issue," Price told Heat World.
Body dysmorphic disorder, also known as body dysmorphia, is a mental health condition where individuals are preoccupied with perceived flaws in their appearance. These flaws are often unnoticeable to others, and the preoccupation can lead to significant distress and impairment in daily life.
It remains to be seen how Price's upcoming surgery will impact her ongoing bankruptcy proceedings and whether she will be present at the court hearing. Her latest trip to Turkey raises further questions about her priorities and commitment to resolving her financial difficulties.
