Katie Price Faces Arrest Warrant After Missing Bankruptcy Hearing

Katie Price, the former model and reality TV star, has been issued an arrest warrant after failing to appear in court for a hearing related to her bankruptcies.

The decision was made by Judge Catherine Burton, who presides over the Insolvency and Companies Court in London. Judge Burton stated that Price had received "very clear warnings" about the importance of attending Tuesday's hearing.

Price was scheduled to answer questions about her financial affairs, posed by barristers representing the trustee overseeing her two bankruptcies. This followed a previous hearing where the judge warned Price that she risked arrest if she didn't attend future court dates. She was also advised to provide evidence if she was unable to appear.

However, Price did not appear for the hearing, and no explanation was offered for her absence. In issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton stated: "It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price's arrest. She has no real excuse in failing to attend today's hearing. The reason for her absence today is irrelevant."

Price has been embroiled in financial difficulties for some time, declaring bankruptcy in 2019. The current proceedings are part of ongoing efforts to manage her financial affairs and determine the extent of her assets.

The issuance of an arrest warrant will undoubtedly bring renewed attention to Price's financial struggles and raise questions about her ability to manage her affairs effectively.
