Katie Price Arrested at Heathrow After Court No-Show

Former glamour model Katie Price was arrested at Heathrow Airport on Thursday evening after failing to appear in court. The 46-year-old, from Surrey, was apprehended upon her return from Turkey and is currently being held in custody at a west London police station. She is scheduled to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice on Friday.

The arrest follows an order issued by insolvency and companies court judge Catherine Burton. The judge, frustrated by Price's absence at a hearing regarding her bankruptcies, issued an arrest warrant after Price failed to provide an explanation for her non-attendance.

Judge Burton expressed her dissatisfaction with Price's "piecemeal cooperation" and lack of basic information regarding her financial situation. She highlighted that arrest warrants are a serious matter and should not be taken lightly.

Price was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March this year. The former "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" contestant has faced a series of financial challenges, including an unpaid tax bill exceeding £750,000. Earlier this year, she was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans to the trustee for the next three years, in relation to her first bankruptcy.

The arrest of Katie Price, a well-known figure in British media, is likely to attract significant attention as she faces the consequences of her alleged failure to cooperate with the court. The outcome of Friday's hearing will determine the next steps in this ongoing legal saga.
