JWoww's Horror Debut "Devon" Lands on Screambox

Jenni "JWoww" Farley, known for her appearances on MTV's "Jersey Shore" and its spin-off, "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation," is venturing into the horror genre with her directorial debut "Devon." The film has been acquired by Cineverse and will premiere exclusively on its streaming service, Screambox, on November 12th.

"Devon" follows a group of friends who embark on a chilling quest to uncover the truth behind an unsolved disappearance. Their investigation leads them to a condemned asylum, where they soon realise they've stumbled into a terrifying and deadly mystery.

The official logline for the film reads: "Following their daughter’s mysterious disappearance, Devon’s parents never stopped searching for the truth. After the asylum she disappeared from was condemned, their questions looked like they would remain forever unanswered. Years later, a cryptic website recruits five courageous individuals to explore the abandoned asylum and discover what happened to the girl. Unaware that they are embarking on a perilous, one-way journey, these individuals delve into the sinister depths with only their equipment, leading to a terrifying and deadly experience."

Farley expressed her excitement about delving into the horror space with Cineverse and Screambox: "I am thrilled to be diving into the horror space alongside Cineverse and Screambox who have the industry and fandom knowledge to see that 'Devon' lands in the hands of the right audience. As a longtime reality TV veteran, I’m excited to kick off this new chapter in the horror movie genre and hope that 'Devon' is just the beginning."

The North American rights for "Devon" were negotiated by Brandon Hill, executive director of acquisitions, and Farley herself. "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" is set to return later this year, with Farley continuing her role on the show.

"Devon" promises to deliver a spine-chilling experience for horror fans, and with JWoww's foray into the genre, it's sure to be a film that sparks conversation.
