Jessica Chastain Cheers on Team USA at the Olympics

The Oscar-winning actress, Jessica Chastain, showed her patriotic spirit at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on Sunday, bringing her two children along to support the US women's artistic gymnastics qualifiers.

The 47-year-old actress looked radiant as she sat in the stands with her daughter, Giulietta (6), and son, Augustus (4). Chastain sported a white jumper emblazoned with the American flag and the Olympic rings, proudly displaying her support for her home country. She paired the jumper with bright red satin trousers, her stunning auburn hair styled in neat waves. The "Interstellar" star completed her look with flawless makeup, highlighting her naturally beautiful features.

As a doting mother, Chastain could be seen cuddling her children, pointing out things of interest in the arena, and explaining the intricacies of the sport to them. She was particularly excited to watch sporting legend Simone Biles' return to the Olympic stage after her struggles at the Tokyo Games four years ago.

The 27-year-old gymnast, who boasts an impressive 27 world and Olympic titles, had withdrawn from most of the competition in Tokyo due to the "twisties" – a mental block that affects gymnasts' ability to perform. However, she was greeted by a thunderous ovation from the crowd in Paris before executing a near-perfect comeback performance. Biles scored a total of 59.566, topping the all-around standings with three sub-divisions still to come.

Chastain, alongside other famous faces like Tom Cruise, Ariana Grande, and Snoop Dogg, could be seen clapping and cheering from the stands, clearly thrilled by Biles' triumphant return.

The "Eyes of Tammy Faye" star shares her two children with her husband, fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. The couple first met in 2012 at a Giorgio Armani Haute Couture Spring/Summer runway show. They dated for five years before exchanging vows in a romantic ceremony held at Passi's family estate, Villa Tiepolo Passi, in Italy in 2017. Their wedding was attended by numerous A-list celebrities, including Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt.

Chastain has previously shared that she had never considered marriage until she met Passi. In a 2018 interview with the Wall Street Journal, she said, "I never wanted to get married. When I first met my husband, he knew that marriage wasn't something I was interested in. And then as we got to know each other, the idea of marriage shifted for me."

She later added, "I actually love being married. I never thought I would, but this is a spectacular human being, and I am celebrating that I get to share my life with him."

While the couple have kept their children largely out of the public eye, Chastain gave a rare insight into a conversation with her daughter in a 2022 interview with Marie Claire. She shared, "Normally I never talk about my personal life. But I had a conversation with my daughter not that long ago. And when you're talking to kids it's like, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' 'I want to be a ballerina.' And she was like, 'I want to be a mama.' And I was like, 'That's a great thing to be. But you know, you can be more than one thing...'"

"I said, 'Well, look at me, honey. I'm a mama. I'm an actress. I'm a producer. I'm a business owner. I'm a friend. I'm a cook.' I started listing all these things. Like, I am many things, so you can be whatever you want."
