Jane McDonald: From Cirque Stunts to Bug Bites
Jane McDonald, the beloved TV star, returned to our screens on Sunday, July 21st, for a new episode of "Jane McDonald: Cruising The Med." This installment took viewers on a nostalgic journey through some of Jane's most memorable Mediterranean adventures.
After a day of exploring scenic sights, Jane found herself captivated by the mesmerizing rehearsal of the Cirque du Soleil team on board the cruise ship. Witnessing their incredible acrobatics, Jane jokingly declared to the cameraman, "If you want me to do that, it's a no."
However, it seems Jane's initial reluctance was short-lived. She bravely agreed to participate in one of the stunts. As the Cirque performers held her by the feet high in the air, Jane could be heard screaming in a mix of fear and excitement. The dancers skillfully dropped her before catching her flawlessly, leaving Jane breathless but thrilled.
"Oh, gentlemen! That was fantastic," she exclaimed, still visibly shaken. "That was probably the scariest thing I've done in a long time. I'm actually shaking."
Despite the adrenaline rush, Jane remained grateful for the experience. "Thank you very much for the experience, it's something I will take to my grave. I didn't expect that to happen!" she shared.
In a previous episode of "Jane McDonald: Cruising Asia," Jane faced a culinary challenge that left her feeling far from enthusiastic. While exploring a local Vietnamese market, she encountered a selection of exotic delicacies â including worms, black beetles, and crickets.
After some hesitation, Jane plucked a mealworm and took a bite. Though she admitted it wasn't too unpleasant, her reaction to a cricket was quite different.
Chewing on the giant insect, Jane grimaced and declared, "Oh, that's disgusting!" Despite her initial revulsion, she persevered and took another bite.
Whether it's conquering a fear with a Cirque stunt or braving bizarre delicacies, Jane McDonald continues to entertain audiences with her adventurous spirit and infectious personality. You can catch up on all of Jane's Mediterranean adventures on My5.
