Hollyoaks Star Stephanie Waring Ties the Knot in UK Ceremony, One Month After Maldives Elopement
Former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring, 46, celebrated her marriage to partner of three years, Tom Thornton-Brookes, with a grand UK wedding ceremony on Monday. This comes just a month after the couple eloped in a secret ceremony in the Maldives.
The UK wedding was a lavish affair, with a guest list including several of Waring's former Hollyoaks co-stars, such as Ross Adams, Gabriel Clark, and Kelly Condron. Waring looked radiant in an ivory gown featuring a matte bodice and a flowing silk skirt. She completed the look with ivory heeled sandals and an elegant hairpiece. Thornton-Brookes, dapper in a navy suit with a crisp white shirt and black tie, beamed with pride beside his new wife.
Waring's daughters, Mia (18) and Lexi (13), were present at the UK celebration after missing their mother's surprise Maldives wedding. The couple had chosen to tie the knot at the five-star Ifuru Island resort on a whim, revealing that the spontaneous decision simply "felt right."
In photos released by OK! Magazine, Waring can be seen wearing an A-line gown with a fitted bustier and intricate embroidery. She even FaceTimed her daughters to showcase her stunning wedding attire.
"When we booked this holiday to the Maldives, Tom said, 'Do you want to get married?' and I just replied, 'Yeah,'" shared Waring. Thornton-Brookes added, "I was having a look online at where we were staying and I saw they did weddings. I'm quite an impromptu person in some senses, so it just felt right. We just jumped at this chance."
The wedding celebrations have provided a much-needed positive distraction for Waring, who was "distraught" after being let go from Hollyoaks in April following a 28-year stint on the show. The actress announced the news on social media, expressing her heartbreak at being included in the show's cost-cutting measures.
Despite the recent professional setback, Waring seems to be embracing her new chapter with enthusiasm and love. The double wedding celebrations mark a truly joyous period for the actress and her husband, offering a glimpse into their happily-ever-after.
