Henley Literary Festival Teams Up with The Independent

The Henley Literary Festival, a celebration of literature and thought-provoking discussion, is returning for another year, running from September 28th to October 6th in Henley-on-Thames. This year, the festival is delighted to partner with The Independent, a collaboration that promises to bring exclusive content and insightful interviews to readers.

This partnership, in its second year, will see The Independent provide exclusive features and insights from the festival's lineup of renowned authors. Journalists from the publication will also be taking to the stage, interviewing writers and delving into their work.

The schedule features several high-profile interviews:

  • October 2nd: David Nicholls will be in conversation with The Independent's arts editor, Jessie Thompson, followed by an interview with Jacqueline Wilson by the same journalist.
  • September 29th: Mick Brown will join The Independent's chief book critic, Martin Chilton, for a captivating discussion.
  • October 3rd: Anthony Seldon will engage in a conversation with The Independent's political editor, David Maddox.
  • November 3rd: The Independent and the Henley Literary Festival will host a special pop-up event featuring Yinka and David Olusoga, who will be speaking with race correspondent Nadine White.
