Hell Hole: The Adams Family Returns to Shudder

The Adams family, known for their horror films like *Hellbender

and the FANGORIA Chainsaw Award-nominated *Where the Devil Roams*, are bringing their unique brand of horror back to Shudder with *Hell Hole*. The film, described as "old-school sci-fi horror," boasts a striking new poster released on Letterboxd.

*Hell Hole

will premiere at the Fantasia Festival before hitting Shudder on August 23rd. John Adams, Lulu Adams, and Toby Poser, the filmmaking family behind the project, will be starring in the film as well, with Lulu writing the screenplay. Toby Poser directed the feature.

Inspired by a road trip through the Canadian oil fields, the Adams family conceived *Hell Hole

as an indie rock-n-roll monster movie set at a fracking site. Their DIY approach to filmmaking is evident in their collaboration with Shudder, *The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs*, and FX legend Todd Masters. Filmed in Serbia with a local cast and crew, *Hell Hole* promises an unconventional blend of old-school sci-fi horror with a subversive twist.

The Adams family delves into themes of biological and environmental horror, intertwined with questions of gender and bodily autonomy, maintaining their signature style.

The cast of *Hell Hole

includes, besides the Adams, Max Portman, Anders Hove, Olivera Perunicic, Aleksandar Trmcic, Petar Arsic, and Bruno Veljanovski.

If you're attending Fantasia, make sure to catch the world premiere of *Hell Hole*. Otherwise, mark your calendars for August 23rd and prepare to dive into the captivating world of *Hell Hole

on Shudder.
