Helen Flanagan, the former *Coronation Street
actress, has opened up about her experience with single life two years after her split from fiancé Scott Sinclair. The couple, who were together for 13 years, share three children: Matilda (8), Delilah (5), and Charlie (3).
Flanagan, 34, has been candid about the reasons behind the break-up, and she now reveals that navigating the world of dating isn't for her. Speaking on Charlotte Dawson's *Naughty Corner
podcast, Flanagan, who is currently filming the new series of *Celebs Go Dating*, admitted, "Being single is, wow. There are some awful men out there."
She confessed to using the celebrity dating app Raya, sharing a humorous anecdote about her daughter Matilda's reaction. "I did have Raya on my phone and Matilda would sit on my phone and she would go through the guys on the dating app and would laugh at them," she revealed. "She would go to school and be like, 'My mum has a boys app.'"
Flanagan, however, has since deleted the app. "I don't have the app anymore, I did go on a few dates from there but I kind of felt a bit... but it was hilarious at the beginning," she added.
Her recent comments follow revelations from *Celebs Go Dating
dating agent Anna Williamson, who disclosed that Flanagan nearly got kicked off the show for breaking agency rules.
"Helen, I just love her," Williamson told *The Sun*. "What I will say about her though - and I donât want to spoil anything - but Helen has the biggest cliffhanger pivot of a storyline that weâve ever had in *Celebs Go Dating
history. Helen nearly got thrown out of the agency two weeks ago. She did something huge which goes against all the rules of the agency."
The upcoming series of *Celebs Go Dating
will see Flanagan join a cast of other notable figures, including *Love Island* star Chris Taylor and Ella Morgan, the ex-girlfriend of JJ Slater (Katie Price's current boyfriend). Other stars looking for love include former *Hollyoaks* actress Jamelia and *Geordie Shore* star Chloe Ferry.
The line-up is completed by influencers Lauryn Goodman and Tristan Phipps.
Flanagan's candid reflections on single life and her potential "huge" storyline on *Celebs Go Dating
add intrigue to the upcoming series.
