Halle Berry Exits Hulu's "All's Fair"

Halle Berry has dropped out of the upcoming Hulu legal drama series "All's Fair," just a week after it was announced she would star alongside Glenn Close and Kim Kardashian. Sources have confirmed to Variety that Berry's departure is due to scheduling conflicts.

"All's Fair," created by Ryan Murphy, centers on an all-female law firm in Los Angeles. While details about Berry's character were kept under wraps, her involvement was seen as a significant addition to the show.

Berry's decision comes as she prepares for the release of two upcoming films: the Netflix movie "The Union" opposite Mark Wahlberg and the Lionsgate horror film "Never Let Go." "The Union" is set to premiere on August 16th, and "Never Let Go" is scheduled for release on September 27th.

"All's Fair" is the first series announced under Ryan Murphy's new overall deal with Disney, following the conclusion of his Netflix contract. Murphy serves as writer, director, and executive producer for the show. He's joined by Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Laura Greene, and Richard Levine as writers and executive producers. Kardashian and Close also hold executive producer credits, alongside Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson. Close is producing under her Trillium Productions banner, and 20th Television is producing in association with Ryan Murphy Television.

The show has received positive news recently, having been awarded a share of $58 million in tax credits from the California Film Commission. Production is expected to span 97 days in California, including 10 days outside of the Los Angeles area.

Despite Berry's departure, "All's Fair" continues to attract attention and is shaping up to be a major project for Hulu. With its star-studded cast, talented creative team, and promising premise, the series is already generating buzz and anticipation.
