Duxford Soapbox Derby 2024: Get Ready to Race!
Get your engines revving, folks! The thrilling Duxford Soapbox Derby is back, and registrations are now open for the 2024 event.
Set your sights on Sunday, 1st September, for a day filled with adrenaline-pumping action at Duxford. Just like last year, the 2024 Derby promises a spectacle of three races: two exciting children's races and a thrilling adult race.
A Day for All Ages
The first children's race caters to the little speed demons aged 4-7 or 8-11, while the second welcomes the slightly older competitors between 12-15. For the adults, there are three categories: the 16+ category for those just starting their soapbox journey, the Elite category for seasoned veterans who have conquered the 1.4-mile race route in under 10 minutes, and the Veterans (55+) category for those who know a thing or two about defying gravity.
Prepare for the Start
All races will kick off at the iconic John Barleycorn, with the starting horn sounding for the children's races at £5 per team and the adults' races at £10 per team.
