Danielson: "My Full-Time Career Ends With AEW World Title Loss"

Bryan Danielson, the newly crowned AEW World Champion, has revealed that his full-time in-ring career will conclude upon losing the title. The announcement came during a recent appearance on AEW Dynamite, where Danielson reflected on his victory at AEW All In, where he staked his career on the match against Swerve Strickland.

Danielson's victory has put his future in the spotlight, as he had previously stated that 2024 would mark his last year as a full-time wrestler. The need for imminent neck surgery further complicated his outlook.

Addressing the crowd on Dynamite, Danielson declared his All In win as his most cherished moment in his professional wrestling career. However, he also acknowledged the pressing factors affecting his future. His AEW contract expired on 1 August, he requires neck surgery, and his family is keen for him to return home.

Despite these considerations, Danielson clarified that he wouldn't retire as the AEW World Champion. "It's probably time for me to go home, but not yet," he stated. He declared that his full-time wrestling career would end the moment he loses the title.

Danielson, a wrestler known for his aggressive style and tenacity, expressed his intention to continue "kicking in heads" and defending his title with all his might. He concluded his statement by issuing an open challenge for AEW All Out, which was met with an unexpected attack from Jack Perry.

This announcement marks a significant turning point in Danielson's illustrious career, signalling a gradual transition away from the rigours of full-time wrestling. It remains to be seen how long he will remain at the helm of the AEW World Championship, but his dedication to delivering thrilling matches and captivating performances is clear.
