Dani Dyer Engaged to Footballer Boyfriend Jarrod Bowen
Dani Dyer, the beloved TV personality, is engaged to her footballer boyfriend Jarrod Bowen. The couple announced the happy news on Sunday after Bowen popped the question with a stunning diamond ring.
The 27-year-old couple jetted off on a romantic getaway following England's heartbreaking defeat in the Euro 2024 finals, where Dani was seen visibly emotional in the crowd. However, the joy of their vacation soon overshadowed the loss, as Bowen proposed on their sun-soaked yacht trip.
Dani shared the exciting news on Instagram, captioning a photo of her dazzling engagement ring: "The most perfect day ever, so so happy!". In the photo, she wore a stunning baby pink and blue lace dress with a plunging neckline and a leg slit, complementing her look with soft curls and vintage-style sunglasses. Bowen looked equally dapper in a short-sleeved shirt, white trousers, and gold-framed Ray-Bans.
The couple's engagement comes after a whirlwind romance, starting in 2021 and culminating in the arrival of their twin daughters, Summer and Star, in May 2023. Dani also has a son, Santiago, from a previous relationship.
The couple's journey began with a classic "slide into the DMs" moment, as Dani revealed on MailOnline's podcast, "Straight To The Comments!". She admitted that she had to give Bowen her number, adding with a laugh, "I can't be doing the DMs for days!".
Dani's father, the famous actor Danny Dyer, expressed his support for the couple, even though he's a die-hard West Ham fan and Bowen plays for their rival team. Dani shared, "It was fine! He sort of knew of Jarrod anyway because Jarrod plays for a team that he supports. So, my dad supports West Ham." When asked if it would have been a problem if Bowen played for Millwall, West Ham's rival, Dani confidently stated, "No! I don't know, he wouldn't care. Listen, people always say 'oh, I bet your dad loves that because you're dating someone from West Ham', but he could be a total a***hole, do you know what I mean? And he's not, so I think that was just a bonus. The West Ham thing was a bonus."
Dani rose to fame on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018, winning the show with her then-boyfriend Jack Fincham. While their relationship ended later that year, Dani found love again with Sammy Kimmence, her pre-Love Island boyfriend. Their son, Santiago, was born in January 2021, but their relationship ended in July of the same year after Kimmence was sentenced to three years in prison for a £34,000 scam.
Now, with her new fiancé by her side and a beautiful family growing, Dani is undoubtedly embarking on a new chapter filled with love and happiness. Congratulations to the happy couple!
