Coronation Street Star Lucy Fallon Expecting Second Child
Coronation Street actress Lucy Fallon, known for her portrayal of Bethany Platt, has announced she is expecting her second child with footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson.
Fallon, 28, shared the exciting news on Monday via Instagram, posting an adorable video showcasing her growing baby bump. The clip features her and Ledson, 26, reading a book with their firstborn, Sonny Jude, born in January 2023. The video then cuts to a positive pregnancy test and an ultrasound, revealing the couple are halfway through the pregnancy journey.
The pair, who met through mutual friends in 2017, have previously spoken about their desire to expand their family. Fallon expressed her hopes of having two more children, while Ledson indicated a preference for just one more.
In a light-hearted exchange on ITV's "Drama Queens" in April, Fallon playfully asserted her intention to have two more children, jokingly stating: "I have the uterus."
While Fallon has been open about wanting to grow their family, she has also expressed her frustration over Ledson's reluctance to propose.
"I think everyone thinks that being with a footballer is going to come with loads of glamorous things - but Ryan is really, really normal," Fallon shared. "He's a normal lad from Liverpool."
She jokingly added: "I am not engaged. It's actually become a bit of a running joke now, but I think the more that I go on about it, the longer it's going to be. Maybe I need to stop talking about it and then it'll happen... maybe."
Fallon's return to Coronation Street earlier this year has seen her character Bethany team up with lawyer Dee Dee Bailey to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of Lauren Bolton.
The actress was brought back to the show last year after producers decided Bethany was crucial to telling the story of Lauren's fate. Fallon, one of the few people aware of Lauren's whereabouts, has been keeping the secret from her close friends and family.
As Fallon and Ledson prepare to welcome their second child, fans are eagerly awaiting updates on both their personal and professional lives.
