In a cunning move, Kit Green has managed to trap his colleague, Craig Tinker, into making a potentially career-ending confession on Coronation Street.

Viewers recently witnessed Kit pressuring a local store owner to drop theft charges against Gemma, exposing a clear conflict of interest.

Craig, suspecting Kit's involvement, has been piecing together the connection between Kit and Gemma. His suspicions have been further fueled by the discovery of their family ties, leading him to question whether Kit acted within the law to protect his sister.

In Monday's episode, Kit, desperate for incriminating evidence against Craig, tried to extract information from Kirk Sutherland. However, Kirk's unwavering belief in Craig's integrity backfired on Kit, leaving him with no choice but to take a more direct approach.

Kit invited Craig for a drink, aiming to get him drunk and vulnerable. As Craig succumbed to the alcohol, Kit skillfully probed into his past, searching for any weakness he could exploit. Craig, in a moment of drunken vulnerability, confessed to bending the rules to help his former girlfriend, Faye Windass, in covering up a deadly hit-and-run.
