Clint Eastwood's Longtime Companion Christina Sandera Passes Away at 61

Clint Eastwood's partner of a decade, Christina Sandera, has passed away at the age of 61, the actor-director confirmed in a statement.

"Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much," Eastwood shared in a statement released on Thursday night. A Warner Bros. spokesperson further confirmed the news but declined to provide additional details.

The couple kept their relationship relatively private, but they were often seen together at public events. Sandera met Eastwood while working as a hostess at his Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, and they began dating in 2014. She frequently accompanied Eastwood to red carpet events, including the Academy Awards for his films "American Sniper" (2015), "Sully" (2016), "The Mule" (2018), "The 15:17 to Paris" (2018) and "Richard Jewell" (2019).

Eastwood, who is 94 years old, has been married twice before. He was married to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1984 and to TV news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2014. He has also had several long-term relationships with notable figures, including stuntwoman Roxanne Tunis, Oscar-nominated actress Sondra Locke (with whom he shared a 14-year partnership and six films), flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves, and actress Frances Fisher (with whom he made four films during their five-year relationship).

Eastwood is currently in post-production on his 40th film as a director, "Juror No. 2," which was announced in April 2023.
