Clint Eastwood's Longtime Companion, Christina Sandera, Dies at 61

Clint Eastwood has announced the passing of his longtime companion, Christina Sandera, at the age of 61. The actor-director released a statement on Thursday night, expressing his deep sorrow: "Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much."

Sandera and Eastwood maintained a private relationship, keeping their romance out of the public eye. They reportedly met while she worked as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, and began dating in 2014.

Despite their preference for privacy, Sandera was a constant presence by Eastwood's side at high-profile events. She accompanied him to the 2015 Academy Awards when his film *American Sniper

was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture. She also walked the red carpet with him for premieres of *Sully* (2016), *The Mule* (2018), *The 15:17 to Paris* (2018) and *Richard Jewell* (2019).

Eastwood, 94, has been married twice. His first marriage was to model Maggie Johnson in 1953, ending in divorce in 1984. He later married TV news anchor Dina Ruiz in 1996, divorcing in 2014.

In addition to his marriages, Eastwood has had several significant relationships. He was romantically involved with stuntwoman Roxanne Tunis, Oscar-nominated actress Sondra Locke (with whom he shared a 14-year partnership and four film collaborations), flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves, and actress Frances Fisher (who was his partner for five years and co-starred in four films with him).

Eastwood's latest directorial project, *Juror No. 2*, is currently in postproduction. This marks his 40th film as a director and was announced in April 2023.
