Charlize Theron Rocks Lingerie-Inspired Look at Charity Event

Charlize Theron, a long-time proponent of embracing lingerie as outerwear, once again stunned at her annual Block Party event for the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project in Los Angeles.

Theron, clad in Dior from head to toe, opted for a daring ensemble featuring a micro-mini bra top that showcased her toned midriff. Instead of wearing the lingerie piece solo, à la Kim Kardashian, Theron layered a boxy power blazer on top, leaving it unbuttoned and with scrunched sleeves for a more relaxed vibe. She completed the all-black color scheme with a high-waisted sequin skirt that graduated from dark to light sequins and featured a sheer fabric trim. A chic updo, classic Dior slingbacks, and a pastel blue manicure rounded out her sophisticated look.

While this outfit might raise eyebrows in most corporate offices, Theron's daring style choice served its purpose perfectly. The Block Party, a star-studded event raising awareness for AIDS education in Theron's native South Africa, attracted a diverse crowd of artists, musicians, and actors.

Among the attendees were the stars of the film "Twisters," Glenn Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones, who took a break from their busy press tour to show their support. Powell stuck to a classic navy suit and white button-down shirt, while Edgar-Jones followed Theron's lead with a cropped long-sleeve top and a matching bodycon skirt that flowed down to the floor.

Theron's penchant for showcasing undergarments as fashion statements has become increasingly popular among celebrities, but she has been a pioneer in this trend for years. Back in 2017, she made a bold statement at the "Atomic Blonde" premiere, wearing nothing but a Dior bralette and a micro-mini skirt, sparking significant interest in bra-first fashion.

Since then, Theron has continued to embrace the trend, showing off her lingerie on numerous red carpets, most recently at a Critics Choice event in Los Angeles, where she donned another plunging black blazer, this time paired with a fully lace bralette.

Theron's willingness to experiment with fashion and push boundaries, while raising awareness for a critical cause, is a testament to her unique style and commitment to making a difference.
