Charli XCX Teases Billie Eilish Collab on "Guess" Remix

British pop sensation Charli XCX has sent fans into a frenzy with a cryptic teaser hinting at an upcoming remix of her track "Guess," from her latest album, "Brat." The album, which has become a viral sensation dubbed "Brat summer," is known for its neon green, lowercase aesthetic and has even been embraced by Vice President Kamala Harris for her presidential campaign.

On Wednesday, Charli XCX took to social media to share a photo of herself with another artist, whose identity was concealed. The image, captioned "Guess?", featured text that read "Guess featuring" followed by a series of blanks. Fans quickly went into detective mode, pointing out that the rings on the unknown artist's hand matched those worn by Billie Eilish during a recent appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg's "Chicken Shop Date."

While Charli XCX has yet to confirm Eilish's involvement in the remix, or its release date, she did hint in a recent Instagram post that something might be dropping this week.

"Brat Summer" has become a cultural phenomenon, with fans adopting the album's aesthetic and using songs from the album in numerous viral TikTok edits. Charli XCX herself has described "Brat summer" as a time for "being confident, putting yourself out there, being out, being about, being the center of attention." She has also called it both "luxurious" and "trashy," suggesting a playful sense of self-expression. The singer even named some "Brat summer" essentials: "a pack of cigs, a Bic lighter and a strappy white top with no bra."

The "Brat summer" trend has contributed to the success of "Brat" on the streaming charts. Charli XCX's song "360," which has been heavily featured in "Brat" edits, reached No. 27 on the U.S. Spotify chart for the week ending July 25, a jump of 24 spots from the previous week. Meanwhile, "Apple," another track from the album, saw a massive surge in popularity after a viral TikTok dance that was mimicked by celebrities like Glen Powell, Brooke Shields, and Stephen Colbert. It climbed from No. 141 to No. 53 on the Spotify chart. The "Brat" album itself ranked No. 8 on the U.S. Spotify albums chart for the week ending July 25.

As the "Brat summer" fever continues to spread, all eyes are on whether Eilish will indeed be joining Charli XCX on the "Guess" remix and when the highly anticipated track will be released.
