Cellist Camille Thomas Signs with Keynote Artist Management

Celebrated cellist Camille Thomas has joined the roster of Keynote Artist Management, a prominent agency representing leading musicians across the globe. The news comes as Thomas continues to garner widespread acclaim for her artistry and dedication to both musical excellence and humanitarian causes.

Thomas holds an exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon (DG) since 2017, with her latest album, *Aznavouriana*, released in 2024. Her previous DG release, *Voice of Hope*, showcased the world premiere recording of Fazil Say's Concerto for Cello and Orchestra *Never Give Up*. This powerful work, written for Thomas and inspired by the tragic terrorist attacks in Paris and Istanbul, reflects the cellist's commitment to using her platform to champion peace and understanding. The album, recorded in partnership with UNICEF, further underscores Thomas's deep-seated desire to use her music to make a positive impact on the world.

The 2024/25 season promises to be a busy one for the rising star. Thomas is scheduled to perform with renowned orchestras including the NDR Radiophilharmonie at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Tokyo Philharmonic, the Hong Kong Philharmonic, The National Symphony Orchestra Ireland, the Janacek Philharmonic, the Nagoya Philharmonic, the Belgrade Philharmonic, and the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. She will also grace the stage with recital performances at the Paesaggi Musicali Toscani Festival, Tippet Rise Art Center, and Palais des Beaux-Arts later this year.

Thomas's musical journey began at the tender age of four in Paris, where she displayed an innate talent for the cello. Her rapid progress led her to the tutelage of esteemed cellist Marcel Bardon. In 2006, she relocated to Berlin to pursue further studies with Stephan Forck and Frans Helmerson at the University for Music ‘Hanns Eisler.’ Her musical education continued with postgraduate lessons under Wolfgang-Emanuel Schmidt at the Franz Liszt University for Music in Weimar.

Thomas's exceptional skills are showcased on the 1730 'Feuermann' Stradivari cello, which she plays on loan from the Nippon Music Foundation.

With her talent, dedication, and commitment to making a difference in the world, Camille Thomas is undoubtedly a cellist to watch.
