Bond, James Bond: Aston Martin Unveils Secret Speakeasy to Celebrate "Goldfinger"

Aston Martin has unveiled a captivating secret speakeasy experience in the heart of London, aptly named "House of Q." This immersive pop-up bar celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic James Bond film, "Goldfinger," and the legendary partnership between Aston Martin and the 007 franchise.

Hidden within the renowned Burlington Arcade, the entrance to "House of Q" lies disguised as a seemingly ordinary magazine newsstand. Visitors must decipher covert messages to uncover the secret door leading into this subterranean world, where the spirit of Q, the MI6 gadget guru, comes alive.

Stepping into the speakeasy, guests are greeted by a unique ambiance, adorned with sketches and components from the original DB5, the legendary car synonymous with James Bond. The bar, a testament to the enduring appeal of the franchise, offers a glimpse into the world of espionage and the ingenuity of Q's creations.

"House of Q" goes beyond mere nostalgia, hinting at a future Aston Martin model yet to be revealed. Visitors can delve into the intrigue, discovering hidden clues and unraveling the mystery surrounding this upcoming masterpiece.

The Aston Martin DB5, having starred in eight James Bond films, remains a symbol of automotive elegance and technological prowess. Its debut in "Goldfinger" in 1964 catapulted the car into global fame, forever associating it with the suave secret agent.

The original DB5, while powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six engine, was no ordinary car. It featured ingenious gadgets such as oil slicks, smoke screens, an ejector seat, and the unforgettable twin front-mounted Browning machine guns, solidifying its place as a cinematic icon.

For those eager to own a piece of the Aston Martin legacy, "House of Q" offers an exclusive opportunity. An upstairs Configurator Lab allows visitors to work alongside Aston Martin design experts to craft their own dream car.

However, the experience goes beyond simply appreciating the DB5 and its future successors. "House of Q" delves deeper into the "Goldfinger" universe, showcasing the original script, set photos, and posters, providing a glimpse behind the scenes of this iconic film.

The "House of Q" pop-up experience, open until August 4, invites visitors to step into the world of James Bond and experience the thrill of adventure, the allure of luxury, and the timeless appeal of Aston Martin.

Location: House 12-13, Burlington Arcade, 51 Piccadilly, London W1J 0QJ.
