Bolton Gears Up for Huge Food & Drink Extravaganza

Bolton is set to become a culinary haven this August, as hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to flock to the town for the annual Food and Drink Festival, billed as the "largest of its kind in the UK".

Taking place from 23rd to 26th August, the festival promises a feast for all senses, with a packed programme of entertainment and delectable treats. Celebrity chefs James Martin and Ainsley Harriott will be taking to the stage, offering their culinary expertise in ticketed masterclasses, while a plethora of regional chefs will be hosting free cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend.

Beyond the culinary delights, the festival will also feature a vibrant live music programme, children's entertainment, street performances, and over 200 market stalls showcasing the best of local and regional produce.

Organisers are expecting to surpass last year's success, which saw over half a million attendees. Councillor Nadeem Ayub, who described the festival as "incredible," highlighted the significant boost it provides to local businesses, ensuring their prosperity.

The festival's heart lies in Victoria Square, outside Bolton Town Hall, where two stages will host the live music acts and the bustling market stalls will showcase a diverse array of culinary delights.

With a focus on inclusivity, the festival aims to offer something for everyone. Councillor Ayub emphasised the hard work invested in creating an event that caters to all tastes and interests, ensuring a truly enjoyable experience for all visitors.

"Each year I am blown away by Bolton Food and Drink Festival, and the lineup for this year looks incredible," he said.

As Bolton prepares to host this culinary extravaganza, the town is buzzing with anticipation. With a vibrant mix of celebrity chef appearances, local talent, and a plethora of entertainment, the festival is poised to be a highlight of the summer, attracting food lovers from far and wide.
