Blake Lively's Versace Underwear Mishap Sparks Outfit Repeat
Blake Lively, known for her impeccable style, has been showcasing a series of floral-themed outfits in support of her new film, "It Ends With Us". However, a recent fashion mishap led to a rather unique outfit repeat.
While greeting fans and photographers in New York City on Monday, Lively confessed to wearing the same see-through beaded top, embellished jeans, and branded briefs she had worn the previous day. However, she revealed a crucial detail: she had mistakenly worn the Versace underwear inside out.
"I wore this yesterday," she admitted, "but I wore my underwear inside-out. So I wore it wrong, and I canât do that to Versace."
The previous day, the band on her underwear appeared black instead of the intended light pink colour. Lively explained that she was "in a hurry" when she first wore the outfit, but felt it was disrespectful to Versace to sport the underwear inside out.
"It's disrespectful," she noted, emphasising the importance of styling the garment correctly.
The actress opted to rewear the look, ensuring the Versace briefs were displayed in their intended manner.
Lively's Versace streak continued at the "It Ends With Us" premiere on Tuesday, where she turned heads in a vintage Versace dress that was once worn by Britney Spears in 2002.
"It is Britney's actual dress," she revealed to People magazine, expressing her excitement over the sparkly, multi-coloured design. "It should be in the Smithsonian or the Met, but it's on me."
Lively took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of Spears wearing the floral dress, captioning it "Today's mood."
"Britney, us millennials all have a story of a moment, or of years that you made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength, and joy and immensely hard work," she wrote in the post, acknowledging the pop icon's impact on her generation.
While the film officially premieres on 9th August, Lively continues to promote "It Ends With Us" in a series of stylish ensembles that pay homage to her character, a florist named Lily Bloom.
On Thursday, she attended a promotional event in London, sporting a white, floral embroidered Stella McCartney suit styled without a top, further cementing her dedication to the flower power theme.
