Pop superstar Billie Eilish has severed ties with agency mogul Casey Wasserman following a high-profile scandal involving extramarital affairs. Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell, who previously had their live booking representation handled by Wasserman, have opted for a unified approach, entrusting all aspects of their film, TV, and music careers to WME, their existing agency for film and TV.
The decision comes in the wake of a bombshell exposé published earlier this month by the Daily Mail, which alleged that Wasserman, the CEO of Wasserman and chairman of the LA28 Olympic Games committee, had engaged in a pattern of extramarital affairs with female employees over several years.
The report, which cited numerous sources, including alleged mistresses who requested anonymity, detailed a string of alleged affairs spanning nearly two decades, including during Wasserman's marriage to Laura Ziffren, from whom he is now separated.
These alleged affairs involved individuals like Patricia Feau, a former secretary and chief of staff who now serves as VP of host city relations for the LA28 Olympic nonprofit, Kristen Merrill, a former HR employee, and Jenny Chandler, a former flight attendant on Wasserman's private jet, who is now his girlfriend.
Feau, who has a $350,000 salary at LA28, denied the affair when contacted by the Daily Mail, but the scrutiny surrounding her compensation has intensified.
The Daily Mail's report caused significant uproar, with Eilish reportedly "very upset" by the allegations. The move to WME, finalised on Tuesday, comes shortly after Eilish's performance at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, where she joined The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg in celebrating Los Angeles' hosting of the 2028 Games.
Eilish and Finneas had been represented by Wasserman Music since its acquisition of Paradigm Talent Agencyâs North American live music representation business in 2021. However, the duo's decision to consolidate their representation under WME underscores the impact of the scandal on their professional relationships.
Representatives for Wasserman have not yet responded to requests for comment on the matter.
