Bieber Baby Joy! Justin and Hailey Welcome First Child
Pop superstar Justin Bieber and his wife, model Hailey Bieber, have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Jack Blues Bieber.
The news was shared by Justin on Friday, 23rd August, via an Instagram post. "WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER," he wrote alongside a photo of the newborn. Hailey followed suit, sharing the same image on her Instagram Stories, adding the child's name and a teddy bear and blue heart emoji.
The arrival of the little one was met with joyous pronouncements from both families. Justin's mother, Pattie Mallette, tweeted, "CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!" Stephen Baldwin, Hailey's father, retweeted Mallette's message, adding, "Amen, Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family."
The couple had first announced they were expecting a baby in May 2024, sharing the news on Instagram. A representative for Hailey confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that she was just over six months pregnant at the time. The pregnancy was evident in a video of the couple's vow renewal ceremony, where Hailey's growing bump was visible under her long white dress and veil.
Justin and Hailey first tied the knot in a private ceremony at a New York City courthouse in September 2018, just two months after their engagement. They later celebrated with a larger wedding in Bluffton, South Carolina, exchanging vows and Tiffany wedding bands in front of family and friends.
The birth of Jack comes after much speculation about Hailey's pregnancy, with the model addressing the rumours in a cover interview for GQ Hype last October. She acknowledged the constant scrutiny surrounding her body, commenting that "There is something that's disheartening about, damn, I can't be bloated one time and not be pregnant?" Hailey expressed frustration at the intense public interest in her personal life, stating that "When there comes a day that that is true, you, *you
as in the internet, will be the last to know."
Despite previously expressing her desire to raise her children out of the spotlight, Hailey conceded that it might be "totally unavoidable." She shared her excitement for motherhood, adding that "It's also such a private, intimate thing. It's something that's going to come when it comes."
Justin has repeatedly expressed his desire to start a family with Hailey. In a 2020 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he revealed his aspirations for a large family, saying, "I am going to have as many [babies] as Hailey is wishing to push out. I'd love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it's her body and whatever she wants to do. ... I think she wants to have a few."
