Banksy's Zoo Finale: Gorilla Unleashes Animals in London Art Trail

A captivating artwork adorning the gates of London Zoo has been confirmed as the final instalment of Banksy's surprise animal art trail across the capital. The piece depicts a powerful gorilla lifting a shutter to liberate a sea lion and birds, with other animals peering out from within.

This marks the ninth and final addition to the series, which has captivated Banksy enthusiasts for over a week. Since 5 August, a new image has appeared each morning, featuring a diverse array of creatures including a goat, elephants, monkeys, a wolf, pelicans, a cat, piranhas and a rhinoceros.

Banksy's team has confirmed that the zoo artwork concludes the trail, which has seen the artist seemingly install new works overnight on each occasion. The installations have generated significant excitement, with crowds gathering after passers-by spot the pieces and share photos on social media.

Typically, Banksy confirms his involvement at 13:00 BST each day, however, this time he pre-empted the announcement on his Instagram page. ZSL London Zoo responded on its own Instagram account, asking: "Have our animals been helping to make people smile all over London this week?"

The trail has provided a burst of artistic energy to the city, leaving a lasting impression on Londoners and art enthusiasts alike. Banksy's playful approach and the captivating nature of the animal subjects have ensured the trail's success, leaving viewers with a sense of wonder and a smile.
