Back to the Nest: Hoda Kotb Reunites with Daughters After Olympics

Hoda Kotb, the beloved co-host of the Today show, has returned home from her exciting trip to the Paris Olympics and was greeted with a heartwarming reunion with her daughters.

A sweet video shared on Instagram on 8 August shows Hoda's two daughters, Haley Joy, 7, and Hope Catherine, 5, rushing to meet her at the front door with open arms. The video captures the joyful moment as the girls embrace their mother, who had just arrived back in the United States after covering the Games in Paris.

"Home❤️", Hoda captioned the heartwarming post, which also features her relaxing on the couch with her daughters.

In July, Hoda and the Today team headed to Paris to provide coverage of the Games. During her time there, she experienced several memorable moments, including bonding with mountain biker Haley Batten, who shares the same name as her eldest daughter. Batten, who won a silver medal in the women's mountain bike event, even received a special shout-out from Hoda's daughter.

"My daughter Haley was so happy that someone named Haley won," Hoda told Batten. "She was like, 'Mommy, Mommy! Haley won!' I go, 'Yes, she did!'"

Hoda also had the opportunity to interview Simone Biles in Paris, the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history. During a commercial break, Biles surprised Hoda's daughters with a video call, much to their delight.

“Hi, girlfriend!” Biles exclaimed, waving at the camera during the call. Hoda shared a screenshot of the call on Instagram, which also included her mother, Sameha Kotb, joining in on the heartwarming exchange.

"When u facetime your mom and daughters and @simonebiles says hi xo," Hoda wrote in the caption.

Fans were quick to comment on the sweet interaction, with one writing, “So sweet that you shared that exchange. I was just wondering what your girls were doing during this amazing trip."

Hoda had previously shared a photo of two clocks on her Instagram, one labelled "USA" and the other "Paris", hinting at her impending return home.

"Clocks for my kids ❤️," she wrote.

Below the clocks was a handwritten schedule that detailed the events at the Olympics, including the end date of the Games and a smiley face next to "Mama Home", which was marked for 7 August.

"Adorable what lucky girls," one person commented, while another simply said, "You are a great Mom ❤️."

Hoda's touching reunion with her daughters is a reminder of the importance of family and the joy that comes with spending time with loved ones.
