Angle: Steveson May Be a Better Athlete Than Lesnar

Kurt Angle, WWE Hall of Famer, believes that former WWE star Gable Steveson possesses the athleticism to surpass even Brock Lesnar. Steveson, a recent Olympic gold medalist, left WWE in May after signing an NFL deal with the Buffalo Bills.

Speaking on "The Kurt Angle Show," Angle acknowledged Steveson's exceptional athleticism, comparing him to the former WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar. He stated: "You think Brock Lesnar is an athlete? This kid, he might be a little tad bit better athlete than Brock Lesnar. That’s very difficult for me to say. Especially for Brock’s size, he’s an incredible athlete. Him and Gable Steveson are, but this guy, I mean, he is so diverse. He’s fast, he’s athletic. I’ve seen him do backflips just standing there. He’s a 250-pound monster. For him to be able to do stuff like that, it’s just incredible."

Angle was not surprised by Steveson's move to the NFL, despite his lack of experience in the sport. He expressed confidence in Steveson's ability to make an immediate impact, calling him a "one-in-a-lifetime individual."

Angle also shared a humorous anecdote about his first meeting with Steveson. He recalled Steveson's bold statement: "Hey, Kurt Angle, I just want to tell you, I respect your career, and I want to be just like you. I was like, ‘Oh, thank you, Gable.’ He goes, ‘You know what? No, I want to be better than you.’ I was like, holy shit. [Laughs] What an asshole thing to say [laughs]. I said, ‘Well, good luck, man.'”

While Steveson's brief WWE career ended prematurely, his athletic prowess and ambitious nature have garnered attention from both the NFL and wrestling communities. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the multi-talented athlete.
