Angle Open to Management Role, But Price is Right

Wrestling legend Kurt Angle has hinted at a possible return to the ring, but not in the way you might expect. The WWE Hall of Famer, speaking on his latest Kurt Angle Show podcast, revealed he's open to working as a manager.

Angle, known for his Olympic gold medal and legendary in-ring career, explained that he initially turned down WWE's offer to manage Matt Riddle, but hasn't ruled out the possibility altogether. He outlined his reasons for initially refusing the offer, stating that the compensation wasn't "right."

"I'm happy doing what I'm doing," Angle admitted on his podcast, "But would I consider managing? Yeah, it would have to be the right thing. It would have to be the right deal, the right program. Not only that, but the money has to be right."

He then went on to reveal a past offer from WWE, "A few years ago, WWE wanted me to manage Matt Riddle. I was into it. I was like, okay, we could have some great vignettes. I think we would have had great chemistry, but it didn't happen unfortunately because they didn't offer me the right amount of money." Angle continued, "The money they offered me was really not good. Not to say anything bad about the company, but it was like okay, that was kind of a kick to the nuts kind of an offer."

Angle officially retired from in-ring competition in 2019, with his final match being against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. However, his statement suggests that a return to the wrestling world, albeit in a managerial capacity, is still on the cards.
