Adele Confirms Engagement to Sports Agent Rich Paul at Munich Concert

Pop icon Adele has reportedly confirmed her engagement to long-term partner, sports agent Rich Paul, during a concert in Munich. The "Rolling in the Deep" singer and Paul, who represents NBA legend LeBron James, have been the subject of engagement rumours for some time.

During the concert on Friday, Adele reportedly responded to a fan's request to marry them by saying, "I can't marry you, I'm already getting married." She then subtly confirmed the news by holding up her left hand, which was adorned with a ring, to the cheering crowd.

Adele's confirmation appears to put an end to speculation surrounding their relationship status. The pair have repeatedly fuelled marriage rumours through Adele's jewellery choices, and her previous references to Paul as her "husband".

Adele was previously married to Simon Konecki, co-founder of Life Water, from 2018 to 2019. They share a son, Angelo, born in October 2012. Paul, who has never been married, has three children.

The couple first sparked romance rumours in July 2021 when they were spotted together at an NBA game. They made their relationship Instagram official in September 2021, with Adele sharing a photo booth picture from Anthony Davis' wedding. In a Vogue interview the following month, Adele confirmed their relationship, stating that she was "obsessed" with Paul.

Paul addressed the rumours surrounding Adele calling him her "husband" in an interview with Gayle King last October. He stated that he doesn't "really talk about his personal life publicly", adding that "she would agree that we've definitely helped each other." He concluded by saying that he is in a "good space" and Adele is "superb".

Adele's engagement to Paul marks a new chapter in her personal life following her highly publicised divorce from Konecki. Fans are eagerly anticipating further updates on the couple's wedding plans and the next phase of their relationship.
