Sokoman Minerals Corp. (TSXV: SIC) (OTCQB: SICNF) is eagerly awaiting assay results for 89 rock samples collected from its Fleur de Lys property in Newfoundland. The company announced on Thursday that the majority of these samples were taken from the northern section of the property, where winter logging has opened up a substantial area of promising ground. This area includes several target zones spanning six to eight square kilometres, including the Golden Bull Prospect, initially discovered in late 2023.
This latest collection brings Sokoman's total sample count to 124 since the start of their sampling program in late 2023. Out of those, 34 samples have returned gold values exceeding 500 parts per billion (ppb), reaching a peak of 9,020 ppb gold (9.02 g/t Au). Over half of the samples collected within the broader Golden Bull target area since 2023 have shown gold values exceeding 100 ppb, indicating the strong potential for undiscovered gold zones at Fleur de Lys.
The recent batch of 89 samples, comprising quartz vein float and quartz vein bedrock, have shown encouraging results. 37 samples returned gold assays greater than 100 ppb gold (0.1 g/t Au), with 12 samples exceeding 1,000 ppb gold (1.0 g/t Au) and a maximum of 5,472 ppb gold (5.47 g/t Au). Notably, five of these high-grade samples, with gold values over 1.0 g/t Au, were taken from bedrock grabs.
With the confirmation of multiple high-priority drill targets, preparations for the upcoming Phase 1 drilling program are underway. The program will primarily focus on the Golden Bull target area, with four additional areas also slated for drill testing.

Golden Bull Samples Show Promising Gold Potential
Last year, Sokoman identified the Golden Bull Prospect and collected 35 rock grab samples, which returned assays up to 9.02 g/t Au. Out of the 35 samples, 17 showed assays greater than 500 ppb (0.50 g/t Au), with a maximum of 9,020 ppb (9.02 g/t Au).
"We are currently evaluating bids from multiple diamond-drilling contractors while we continue to refine drill targets based on our 2024 (and 2023) rock sampling programs," said Timothy Froude, President and CEO of Sokoman Minerals. "We have received all but one of the required permits and expect the final (water-crossing) permit in the coming weeks."
The Golden Bull Prospect sits within a broader area of anomalous till and soil geochemistry that Sokoman has delineated since 2023, alongside geochemical and geophysical (VLF-EM) anomalies identified by Noranda Inc.'s historical work in the late 1980s.

Fleur de Lys Project: A District-Scale Gold Exploration Venture
The Fleur de Lys Project is a district-scale initiative focused on gold mineralisation, drawing parallels to the Curraghinalt and Cavanacaw deposits in Northern Ireland. The project's location near several significant mining ventures adds to its appeal.
Nearby, Calibre Mining (TSX: CXB) (OTCQX: CXBMF) is progressing with the Valentine Gold Project, boasting the largest undeveloped gold resource in Atlantic Canada. This project has a measured and indicated resource of 3.96 million ounces (64.62 million tonnes at 1.90 g/t Au) and an inferred resource of 1.10 million ounces (20.75 million tonnes at 1.65 g/t Au). Further, New Found Gold Corp. (TSXV: NFG) (NYSE: NFGC) is advancing its Queensway Project, renowned for its high-grade gold discoveries.
The anticipated assay results and the upcoming drilling program at Fleur de Lys offer a compelling opportunity for Sokoman Minerals to further unlock the potential of this promising gold exploration project.
