Trade Update


Following the flurry of activity surrounding the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) policy review and Consumer Price Index (CPI) release over the past two weeks, last week was relatively quiet on the local data front. The only noteworthy official report was the release of merchandise trade data for June on Monday. This data, as usual, received minimal attention from markets, but it does offer insights into the performance of certain key sectors of the New Zealand economy.
