Pune: IndiGo, India's largest airline, marked the 77th Indian Independence Day with a historic induction of 77 female pilots into its Airbus and ATR fleets. This significant step aligns with the airline's commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion, further solidifying its #GirlPower ethos.
The induction includes 72 female pilots joining the Airbus fleet and 5 joining the ATR fleet, marking a momentous occasion in the aviation industry. This initiative is poised to inspire and empower future generations of women to pursue careers in aviation, shattering traditional barriers.
IndiGo embarked on a targeted recruitment process in January 2024 to curate this exclusive cohort of female pilots.
