Cebu Pacific, the budget carrier, has announced incredibly low one-way promotional fares starting from just P1 (approximately £0.02) for direct flights between Iloilo and Hong Kong. These flights are set to resume in October, reconnecting the two destinations after a period of suspension.
The flights from Iloilo will recommence on 27 October 2024 and will operate four times a week, departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Flights from Hong Kong to Iloilo will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
These promotional fares are available for booking from Friday, 26 July, to Wednesday, 31 July, and cover flights from 27 October 2024 to 29 March 2025. This is a great opportunity for travellers to secure affordable airfares for their trips to either destination.
Candice Iyog, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at Cebu Pacific, highlighted the significance of this resumption, stating, âWith the resumption of flights to Hong Kong, CEB will be the only airline to operate international flights from Iloilo.â She added, "We hope this will also make air travel even more affordable and accessible for a wider range of passengers in the Visayas region.â
Cebu Pacific's network currently spans 35 domestic and 25 international destinations, covering Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. The airline is committed to expanding its fleet and services, aiming to boost its full-year 2024 seat capacity by 12% to 15% compared to 2023. This growth is supported by a recent memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Airbus, which includes firm orders for up to 102 A321neo and 50 A320nwo Family purchase rights, powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines.
This exciting announcement marks a significant step forward for travellers in the Visayas region, providing them with more affordable and convenient options for international travel. With its commitment to expanding its fleet and offering competitive fares, Cebu Pacific continues to solidify its position as a leading budget carrier in the region.
