Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is set to become a gateway to the South Pacific this winter, with Fiji Airways announcing the launch of nonstop flights between Nadi, Fiji and the Texan hub.
The new route, which will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, will commence on 10 December 2023, just in time for the holiday season. Fiji Airways will be utilising its modern A350-900 XWB aircraft for the journey, offering passengers a comfortable and enjoyable flying experience.
Introductory fares for the inaugural flights are priced from £560, available for booking on the Fiji Airways website.
DFW Airport CEO Sean Donohue expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership, stating that "DFW is thrilled to add the beautiful islands of Fiji to our expanding list of international destinations. This will offer North Texans direct access to a tropical paradise, while also connecting Nadi to DFW's extensive network of over 250 destinations worldwide."
This marks Fiji Airways' 24th international nonstop route, and its fifth North American destination, further solidifying its position as a major player in the international aviation market.
The introduction of these flights is expected to be a major boost for tourism in Fiji, attracting travellers from the United States who are seeking an idyllic escape to the renowned Fijian islands. DFW Airport, in turn, will benefit from increased passenger traffic and a diversification of its international route network.
With its stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and welcoming locals, Fiji is a popular destination for those seeking an unforgettable holiday. The new nonstop flights from DFW will make it easier than ever for North Texans to experience the magic of Fiji.
