For the second consecutive year, an Arizona-based company has secured a place in the top ten of the Inc. 5000 list, a highly regarded ranking of America's fastest-growing private companies. This year, Scottsdale's Lessen, a unicorn software firm, took the runner-up spot, achieving an impressive 45,603% growth rate.
Lessen's remarkable performance garnered special recognition from Inc., with the publication proclaiming, "How to Pull Off a Billion-Dollar Deal." This headline reflects the company's significant achievements and its potential for further growth.
Arizona's previous top ten presence on the Inc. 5000 was in 2023, when Tempe-based cannabis firm Sonoran Roots (ranked 949th this year) secured the tenth position. Prior to that, the state's last appearance in the top ten was in 2021, when Scottsdale's Internet address brokerage Brander Group Inc. (ranked 1,133rd this year) claimed sixth place.
Lessen's success further solidifies Arizona's reputation as a hub for innovation and rapid business growth. The state continues to attract entrepreneurs and companies, with its supportive business environment and strong economy contributing to its flourishing entrepreneurial scene.
