Anheuser-Busch Pours £5.2 Million into Williamsburg Brewery Expansion
Anheuser-Busch has announced a £5.2 million investment in its Williamsburg brewery, focusing on significant infrastructure upgrades and warehouse improvements. The investment, revealed on Monday, signifies a continued commitment to the site, which has been operational for over 50 years.
The capital expenditure will be used to modernise existing equipment and implement enhancements aimed at increasing efficiency across the facility. The investment will also boost the brewery's warehouse capacity and capabilities, allowing for greater production and storage.
Tom Jokerst, General Manager of Anheuser-Busch Williamsburg Brewery, emphasised the importance of the investment, stating: "Today's announcement reaffirms Anheuser-Busch's dedication to our brewery, which has been brewing some of America's most popular brands for over half a century. This £5.2 million injection will enable us to continue producing these renowned brands right here in Virginia, upholding the highest standards of brewing excellence."
Since establishing its presence in Virginia in 1972, Anheuser-Busch has become a prominent employer and economic contributor to James City County. The Williamsburg brewery currently employs over 400 people.

Anheuser-Busch has made substantial investments in its facilities nationwide, totalling almost £1.6 billion over the past five years. The company operates over 120 facilities across the United States and, with its distributors, employs 65,000 people.
