Amazon Prime members in Sydney can now enjoy the convenience of free same-day delivery on over a million products, ordering as late as midday for delivery by 10pm that very same day. The launch of this service marks a significant milestone for Amazon Australia, bringing even faster delivery options to its loyal Prime membership base.
To celebrate the launch, Amazon Australia has appointed Australian cricketing superstar and the country's fastest bowler, Mitch Starc, as their "Chief Speed Officer". Starc will be making special deliveries to lucky Sydneysiders, who can enter a competition on Amazon Australia's Instagram page for the chance to win a delivery of cricket goods and a $1,000 Amazon.com.au gift card.

"We are thrilled to be hitting a major milestone with the announcement of free Same-Day Delivery across a huge range of products for members in Sydney. Menzies also highlighted the significant value faster online delivery times bring to Australian consumers. A recent report revealed that fast delivery options have provided nearly $350 million in value to consumers over the past decade, due to improved convenience and time saved.
"Now for Prime members in Sydney, that is as fast as the very same afternoon or evening," Menzies added. Amazon Australia plans to continue expanding the product selection and delivery areas eligible for Prime Free Same-Day Delivery and One-Day Delivery, aiming to offer more Australian Prime members access to even more products, even faster. Prime members in locations not yet eligible for Same-Day or One-Day Delivery can still benefit from free delivery in as fast as two days on eligible orders.
