What Lenovo announced at CES 2026

At CES 2026 Lenovo presented a commercial portfolio built around AI-first workflows: new Aura Edition Copilot+ PCs, an on-device personal AI agent called Lenovo Qira, concept hardware like the ThinkPad Rollable XD, and refreshed desktops and accessories aimed at hybrid work.

Lenovo Qira and concept devices

Lenovo Qira is introduced as a Personal Ambient Intelligence System that keeps tasks and context synced across Lenovo and Motorola devices. The company says Qira uses a privacy-first hybrid AI architecture and will roll out on select products in 2026.

The ThinkPad Rollable XD Concept offers an early look at a flexible, context-aware device aimed at extending Lenovo's vision of cross-device intelligence.

ThinkPad X1 series: Space Frame redesign

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 and X1 2‑in‑1 Gen 11 Aura Editions debut a new Space Frame layout that places components on both sides of the motherboard. That change improves cooling, enables replaceable parts, and supports a larger haptic touchpad.

Key specs and sustainability

These Copilot+ PCs are powered by Intel Core Ultra X7 Series 3 processors with built‑in Intel Arc GPU and next‑gen NPUs for on‑device AI. Lenovo reports improved thermal performance that sustains higher TDP and uses recycled aluminium and magnesium in the chassis.

ThinkPad X9 15p and ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist

The ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition targets prosumers and creators with up to Intel Core Ultra X9 processors, up to 64GB LPDDR5x, a 15.3" 2.8K OLED display, and a six‑speaker audio system.

The ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist brings a motorized dual‑rotation hinge to commercial laptops, rotating the 14" OLED screen for different postures and presentation modes while offering Copilot+ PC experiences.

ThinkCentre X Series and AI Fusion

The ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition adds a near‑square 27.6" QHD display and optional smart AI camera for document digitization. The ThinkCentre X Tower offers dual GPU options, improved airflow, and Lenovo’s AI Fusion Solution for local post‑training fine‑tuning of models up to 70 billion parameters.

Accessories, services and enterprise support

Lenovo announced an updated Premier Support suite with an integrated AI agent, 24/7 global coverage, and proactive health alerts. New accessories include an ANC headset by Bose, a Bluetooth presenter mouse with an AI shortcut, and a 16" Click‑Go backpack for mobile professionals.

Why it matters

These announcements position Lenovo to deliver more adaptive, privacy‑aware AI across commercial devices—combining on‑device acceleration (Intel Core Ultra, Arc GPU, NPUs), repairability improvements, and lifecycle services aimed at reducing downtime and protecting data.

“With the latest ThinkPad and ThinkBook systems, enhanced Lenovo Aura Edition capabilities, and concept‑car innovations like the ThinkPad Rollable XD, we are bringing practical AI, thoughtful engineering, and trusted reliability together,” said Eric Yu, SVP, SMB Segment and Commercial Product Center, Intelligent Devices Group, Lenovo.
